Why you make bags of course ;)

Years ago I used to make these all the time I love them you can store soooo much stuff in them. Lately there has been a resurgence in interest in them & I have started making them again. They are proving popular chrissy & birthday pressies for many young ladies. pc190003-small.jpgpc190002-small.jpg

No 2 are ever the same as I just create as I go on these & have had nothing but good words said about them :)

Recently Kathie from 2paupers.com asked me to make some sleep masks for her with embroidery on them. There I was thinking some nice flowers or girly designs until she emailed me the sayings she wanted on them!! What a hoot they were to do. They are rice filled to enable them to be used as either heat or cold packs.

Well what a night it was, last night was our schools annual concert & award night. Soooo much hard work goes into this by both teachers & students, but the results are awesome!!!

Every year I offer my sewing skills to the class’s that my kids are in for costumes, props etc. This year I made 8 dresses, 16 sleeves & a 5mt curtain with the word Censored on it. Everything turned out awesome I feel. The kids really put the effort in with practise, making props etc so I feel they deserve to have great costumes.

pc130023-small.jpg this is my DD’s class they acted out the song “The Streak”

pc130024-small.jpg this is my DS’s class they acted out “6 white boomers”

Well done kids you were all fantastic & thankyou all for the choccies, wine & card you gave me :)

Cheers

Tina

When you cross your childs/ren class item for the end of year school concert , meters & meters of fabrics, giggling kids & a sewist???????

A messy sewing room is what you get ROFL plus lots of happy kids, a frazzled sewist & some great looking costumes (if I do say so myself ;) ) No photos yet going to wait till the BIG night next Wednesday & then I will share.

I do love doing the concert costumes for them after all they do all the practise & earn them so why not have good looking costumes I say. Everything I have made this year has been done with no patterns just scissors, a good eye & the machines!!!
