Bloomin Roses

I love the colours of the roses on this fabric. Wish I could have those coloured roses in a garden wouldnt they look fabulous?

I love this sytle of bag, & its so quick to make. I made 3 of them in one day.This also is for a celebrity only I dont know who yet. I posted 11 bags off to the Dilly Bag company & have to wait until they decide on who gets which bag. I wil let you all know as soon as I know

Need to make more after I go on another fabric shopping spree. I have been “shopping my stash” the last couple of weeks & really enjoying the challenge of finding matching fabrics.

A new bag for my laptop.

Remember back in October lat yr my darling beloved bought me a laptop for my birthday? Well I had an old bag soft briefcase from my partyplan days that it fitted in perfect but it’s boring its plain black & blurgh.

So today I finally did something about it I got out the paper, pencil, ruler & my brain to make a pattern that would fit my laptop. After a couple of hours I had the pattern all nutted out & the fabrics cut Then I stitched it all together only to rip it apart & start again.

But glad I did !! This is the end result

a whole new look

Well as you know I have an online business but I have now completely changed my site name & look. I am now knowen as The Sewing Fairy

My range was & still is etending out from just baby items so with the help of the wonderfully talented Kathie Holmes http://www.2paupers.com I now have my new site. And when I get a couple of hours to scratch myself I will get the shopping cart up & happening too

When you cross your childs/ren class item for the end of year school concert , meters & meters of fabrics, giggling kids & a sewist???????

A messy sewing room is what you get ROFL plus lots of happy kids, a frazzled sewist & some great looking costumes (if I do say so myself ) No photos yet going to wait till the BIG night next Wednesday & then I will share.

I do love doing the concert costumes for them after all they do all the practise & earn them so why not have good looking costumes I say. Everything I have made this year has been done with no patterns just scissors, a good eye & the machines!!!

Can you sew a button??

The standard response when people find out I sew all day is “Oh I really admire people who can sew, I cant even sew a button!!” This gob smacks me but it shouldnt as even my own sister cant sew a button & yet our Mother is one of the most talented sewist I know. Buttons never fell off any of the clothing she made for us.

Now sewing on a button isnt rocket science it really is easy just take a look here & you will see, so why not grab a needle, some thread, a button  & give it a go? You never know you may end up liking it

sewing, business & flu

sure dont mix well!! I have been very sick for the last 3 days & hating every minute of it! The machines didnt even get turned on for 2 days!! And for anyone that knows me that is just unheard of except for christmas & boxing day!!

Anyway before I got sick I had been sewing up a storm so I will fill the rest of the page with photos & tell you all to run your virus scan dont want you getting this nasty bug I have LOL
